Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah tingginya nilai plak indeks pada anak usia 6-10 tahun di Jalan Banyu Urip Lor gang VIII Surabaya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengetahuan ibu tentang kebersihan gigi dan mulut anak terhadap nilai plak indeks pada anak usia 6-10 tahun di Jalan Banyu Urip Lor VIII Surabaya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik dengan sasaran 25 ibu dari anak usia 6-10 tahun di Jalan Banyu Urip Lor VIII Surabaya. Metode pengumpulan data penelitian ini pada variabel bebas menggunakan quesioner dan pada variabel terikat menggunakan observasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak adanya pengaruh pengetahuan ibu tentang kebersihan gigi dan mulut terhadap nilai plak indeks anak usia 6-10 tahun di Jalan Banyu Urip Lor VIII Surabaya tahun 2014.
